— The Ranges

Three of our most trusted formulas

A preview from the catalog — each range profiled with its filters, its finish and the skin it suits best.

A jar of white zinc oxide cream 01 / Range The Gentle Guardian

Mineral

Zinc oxide · physical filters

The gentle giant of sun care. Mineral screens sit on the surface of the skin and scatter ultraviolet light the moment they’re applied — no waiting, no absorption, no compromise for sensitive skin.

A woman applying sunscreen to her face 02 / Range The Everyday Essential

Face

Daily facial fluid · SPF 30–50

The quiet overachiever: a lightweight fluid that layers invisibly under makeup and makes daily protection feel like nothing at all. The best sunscreen, as the saying goes, is the one you’ll actually wear.

Snorkeling above a shallow coral reef 03 / Range The Conscious Choice

Reef-Friendly

Ocean-considered filters

The label that changed the shelf. Reef-conscious formulas leave out filters implicated in coral stress, so what rinses off in the sea does less harm — while what stays on you works just as hard.

— Our Standard

Why sun-lovers trust our guide

We are a small team of daily SPF wearers, beachgoers and runners. This guide exists because good sun-care knowledge should be careful, generous and free.

01

Every formula, wear-tested

Nothing enters these pages untried. Each product family is worn by our team across real weeks — commutes, beaches, workouts — before it earns a description here.

02

Filters explained, plainly

Mineral, organic, hybrid: we translate what the label means into plain language — what protects, how it feels, who it suits — so the choice is yours, not marketing’s.

03

Written by daily wearers

Our authors have worn SPF through city summers and equatorial surf trips alike. Every note reflects skin in the real world: sweat, sand, hats and hurried mornings.

04

Education first, always

This site is a library, not a storefront. We describe formulas informationally so anyone can understand their SPF — before they shop anywhere at all.

Sunscreen asks little and gives much: one quiet minute each morning, and the sun stays a pleasure instead of a debt.

— Sun Notes

From our sun journal

Short, practical entries from the shelf and the shoreline — the habits that keep protection honest and skin comfortable.

Application

The two-finger rule

Squeeze sunscreen along the length of two fingers — that is one full adult application for face and neck. Most people use a quarter of it, then wonder why the number on the bottle let them down.

Timing

Fifteen minutes, then two hours

Organic filters need a little time to settle; minerals work on contact. Either way, the honest habit is applying before the door and reapplying every two hours in sun — and immediately after every swim or towel-off.

Storage

Cool, shaded, sealed

Heat is the quiet killer of sunscreen: a bottle cooking on a car dashboard all summer loses strength long before its date. Store it shaded and cool, and treat a separated or grainy lotion as retired.
